rear brake tension spring

I just wanted to check with u all an show u a pick of this tension spring thats attached to the rear brake foot lever and cable, it doesn't look to be the right one to me. My foot goes down a lil further than I think it should to stop the bike. The rear hub brake maker shows "with a usable range". It seems a little long and maybe to thin? I will be getting a repair manual for this bike soon.

The small spring prevents the brake light switch from being over-extended when the brake pedal is depressed.

There's a separate adjuster at the end of the brake rod near the brake lever at the rear wheel.
It may be adjusted to require less pedal movement before the brake engages.

Good Fortune! :)
