Are my rims tubeless?
29 Mar 2012 10:18
I have an 80kz550a and I'm in the process of replacing the tires. My old tires have tubes in them but I'm wondering if these rims were originally tubeless. They are the mag style rim, not spoke. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

According to the parts diagram on Kawasaki's website, the 1980 model uses tubes and the 1981 model is tubeless.
Somewhere on your rim should be a marking stamped into the rim itself that says tubeless or tubed.

They used tubes.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
