Hey guys. I am about to order new front and rear sprockets (and chain) and plan to do the 630 to 530 conversion.

Is JT Sprockets the only place that has this conversion set up? I see they have all the conversion info on the Z1 site.

Plus, any suggestions for the chain? I've used DID o-ring in the past with good results.

Am thinking Z1E also lists the 530 chain and sprockets.

I talked to Robert at Z1E on Friday about this as I will be running a
79 Z1 wheel and he said the 530 stuff is on the shelf.

1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.

I replaced my original chain with a DID o-ring chain 15,000 miles ago and so far I've only had to adust it about 1/16th of an inch. I have a NOS Kawasaki original endless loop chain in my parts bins that I will install when the DID wears out, but at the rate it's going the DID may outlast me. I keep it lubed with Chain Wax. Ed

Thanks guys. I think I will call Z1 and order the conversion kit. Can't wait to see how it looks.
