No Seat Lock

What options do I have to secure the seat in place without having a seat lock? They are kind of expensive.

I drilled holes through my pan and then put long screws down in to the battery box mounts. Not sure if you have a stock seat or not, it probably wouldnt work on one without removable padding

Rubber tarp strap, came with bike in 2000, still working.
