home made fender extender kz750 ltd
17 Feb 2012 16:17
hi kzr's
in the uk it rains a lot. i live in the country, full of muddy lanes!..
i tried to buy a fender extender to help with road mud, ruining my bikes downpipes etc.
I couldn't find one anywhere, including ebay. so using a made a cardboard templete
and followed the natural lines of the front fender and created this baby out of stainless steel!...
i saw a program about metal forming and i used a thick block of wood, some heat and a rubber hammer!..
not bad for the first one!... it was interesting creating something that you can't buy!..
regards

For even more protection, get a mud flap to attach to your extension. A piece of fabric reinforced rubber will work well for this.
