So I have an opportunity to buy either a gsxr600 complete front end or a honda cbr600 complete front end both bikes are from i believe late 90's early 2000's for 100$ a setup.. Has anyone crossbrand swapped before and if so how easy was it ?

Many people here have done modern fork swaps. You forgot to mention what bike you are planning to fit these forks on. It might be as simple as a bearing swap, but more likely you'll need to swap steering stems. If you have access to both pairs of forks, I'd measure the lengths and pick the longest set. Welcome, and Good luck!

What bike are you thinking of putting these front ends on? A bit more info might help.
Lots have done swaps.. I've done a few.

Yes, what they said. Both front ends you mentioned are good candidates for swaps. The later ZX6 and 636 front ends are plentiful and fresh. Complete sets with everything included can be had for $500 with front wheel and tire.

I have a kz650 and would be interested in that too, I already have a Ninja swing arm, modified for dual rear shocks. So I am sure the rear wheel would probably fit nicely.

+100

I an tell you for certain the zx7's are too short for the KZ's and the Gpz's as well
