just got my 81 kz550 running last week. found it in a storage unit and the guy told me it didnt run in over 16 years. long story short a little work and cleaning it runs great but when i put on a set of superbike bars i need to get shorter thottle and cluctch cables. does anyone know if the gpz550 cables will work? also is the gpz550 front master smaller then the ltd master? i need to get a smaller master cylinder also so any info would help

KZ550A (standard) and KZ550D (gpz), if I recall, do use shorter cables than the LTD.

Motion Pro (in Mfolks link) can make them to whatever length you want.

The U.S. standard and ltd had single disk in front, but the gpz had dual disk, so the master piston is larger. If you go to the larger master piston, you will lose some of your braking force. I'm not sure if they are same size, externally, or not.
