What tire to run on the 17 inch rear What tires do

Ok searching the web for a tire to run on my 17 inch 5.5" wheel 180 or 190 sport tire 180/55/17 sport seems to be readily available but a 19" for my front wheel doesnt seem to be in the same design.

just curious what everyone else is running? I havent commited to a front end swap yet

Cruiser tires come in similar configurations but jump to 200 rear seem to skip from 160 I have been told the cruiser 160 is wider than 160 sport tire but I am not convinced

I know a 180 dunlop will have a different profile than a bridgetstone just because thats the way it is.

any words of wisdon?

Most people who swap the rear also swap the front. Otherwise you'll have to mismatch your tires.

cant afford to make that swap this year. I will have to buy a rear tire for sure just to set ip all up kind of curious what front and rear sprocket seems to be the choice of the guys who are running the 17 inch wheel with the smaller chain

Currently running a 180/55r17 Michelin Pilot Power 2ct. Love the 2cts on the rear. Fronts sometimes cup. 180 is the correct size for that wheel. I also have Bridgestone BT016s on the Ninja. No complaints on those tires yet. The michelins have been easier to mount for me (the bridgestones were very tight.). Also the michelins rarely require much weight to balance. Just my .02.

on my z1r i have metzler's me880 front and rear.

17" 190 rear
19" 90 front

the tread matches.
but i have ran mismatched tires before i just matched the tread as good as possible and rolled it.

Thanks guys want to get my wheel finished up this week. just got the swingarm shipped out today.

how many teeth you running on front and rear sprockets?

and is it the set up you would reccomend?
