Has anyone done it? Where did you get the sprockets?

Incase anyone is wondering 'WHY?' its because i have some really good old 520 race chains here that would suit well

They will be custom and pricey.
I've done 630/530 and 530/520 but not 630/520.

The ZX12 (and a whole bunch of others) shares the same rear sprocket with the 750 twin, and the front spline is the same on a whole bunch of bikes (including Suzukis) so I don't think 520 conversion sprockets should be too hard to find.

Cheers Steve, i'll check a ZX6R sprocket, i should have 1 here. :) In your valued opinion is it a good or bad idea? (im just thinking of cost). Will i run into any problems with the front sprocket?, I havent had my front sprocket off yet but i see 2 screws holding it on as well as a crush type washer

The 750 twins use 530 chain stock, the 520 chain is just a bit narrower and a bit lighter.

Not enough difference to make it worthwhile to change IMHO.
Unless you are trying to get chain clearance for a wide tire conversion anyway.

"Race" chain may be non-o'ring style, which is imo less user-friendly for street use.

The o'ring or x'ring style chains are more forgiving for lack of fanatical lubing maintenance.

Good Fortune! :)

you should not need an offset front sprocket.

i have to have one because i am running a 190/200 mm wide rear tire.
