Fork,tree and wheel alignment

Has anyone had problems lining up their forks with used trees? I have two sets of forks and this is the second set of trees I have had issues with. Seems when I tighten everything up the forks go out of alignment. This is the second set of trees doing the same thing.
I just want to know is it more plausible that the trees r deformed or the forks?

Something has been tweeked! Is this your original frame? And not been hit or dropped?
It don't take much to bend a frame. Or if you buy triple tree's off of ebay or whatever.
The stem could be bent. Big sledge hammer and a block of wood! I have had frames chained to a tree, then twisted out of distortion! If the owner had seen them they would have screemed!
But , they come back to shape.

Ok....I don't feel so bad about using a crowbar on my '66 A1 frame to fix a bent rear peg mount now... LOL!

I had the same problem on my bike. I loosened everything up on the front end except to top bolt holding the forks on the tripples. Sat on the bike put the front wheel up against a post and pushed the bars until they were straight. I had the kid loosen the tight bolts then tighten everything up while I held the bars straight. 3 years of riding around with crooked bars and a ton of money replacing every part on the front end. The fix didnt cost a dime.

Interesting. How would this test work? I'm finishing up the front end of my '66 A1 tomorrow, and would like to know how to tell for sure they are aligned properly
