23 Oct 2011 20:31Hey Kawman, that is a lot of rake in that avatar! What is the wheel base in inches? On that chassis?kawman66 wrote: once you rake it that far and lenthen it that far a simple manuver such as pulling in traffic from a side street is a chore. i rode the bike in my user pic on the street and never again. you will use a full lane on the highway going around slight bends in the highway. The bike im building now has a 4 degee rake and a 3 over arm.And its just slighty slugish in the handleing compared to a stocker.
I have did a couple and never degreed it with a protractor. Just did it.
Like you say just a bar hopper, cruise night bike.
This first one I have is 66 inch wheel base. added 6 inchs.
The second is still on the welding table, similar, though.
Jordan, JUST DO IT!

I am one of those that love the old Willy's and 40 Ford gassers. Always thought that one of these is the ultimate street-rod. Blown chevy for me though. Liked the '33 Willy body also. I for one would be interested in any updates you want to post on it. Looks good so far. Amazing how these things eat up money!!! lol Hopefully, our fellow KZ'ers won't mind a car sneaking in here now and then.
