I need a Chain Guard

My KZ900 has no mounting brackets for a chain guard, either they were broken or cut off by a previous owner. Annual safety inspections require a chain guard.

Anyone have an easy solution?

I am thinking about buying a KZ1000 swingarm and chain guard (easier to find compared with KZ900). Then I'd just need to put a tab on the bottom of the swingarm to hold the brake torque rod.

What do you think?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNot sure if you have an LTD or not. Here is the replacement from Z1 for the A4 model.

If LTD, cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kawasaki-76-KZ90...&hash=item564682a800

Welding Tabs back on for either would be pretty easy.

Do you have the chainguard itself? For mounting, maybe you could bend up some metal or use some plumbers pipe hanging strap and just rig it up.

Yeah I've been thinking about buying some "L" brackets, drilling holes in the swingarm and screwing them on. Or getting someone to weld them on. I have a chain guard off a KZ1000, not sure if it's the same as a KZ900 chain guard or if it matters.
