rear wheel parts question
24 Sep 2011 17:43
I bought a 79 KZ1000 project. The rear bearing on the right side is completely gone. Based on the parts diagram I'm not 100% sure the spacers that came out are correct. Any opinions? Thanks in advance.

Looks like you're missing a rear axle collar (#4) and maybe the rear hub coupling sleeve (#13) unless it's stuck in the hub. Ed

Contact either
www.z1enterprises.com
or
www.goallballs.com
for new bearings.
www.kawasaki.com
or
www.bikebandit.com
should have a parts break down(microfiche)to see how the rear wheel assembly goes back together.

I got a bearing kit from Z1. My main concern is the big spacer appears that it will just be floating between the bearings in the wheel. One of those deals where when it's all messed up coming apart, makes it hard to tell how the thing goes back together. Thanks for the replies.
