triple clamp help was created by xbmxxx
I am attempting to start on a project using the spare parts from my first build. I have some spare triple clams and forks and a frame, but I cant figure out how it is all supposed to go together. Heres what I have.

also, no matter what I do, I cant get either of the bearings on the steering tube to budge, how do I snug them up in to the stem, any suggestions?

Any idea what the triple clamp came from? It looks to be a one-off to me. Is it designed to fit a KZ?

that dont look like any kz forks I've ever seen JMO

thats a cap nut on the upper in the photo, it aint gonna tighten up any more, if thats what ur asking,
after looking again, if ur bearings dont fit into the races then it aint gonna work, just guessing here but it looks like that aint even a set of jap triples

I have no idea. I think the only KZ part of the frame is the head tube. I figured out the bearing situation, the bottom one is threaded. It was just very very stuck.

I am not even sure what the forks are. The PO mentioned something about them being some sort of fake rake setup or something, but they look to be the same as the ones on my 750b, unless the length is a little different.

this is the best I can figure it out.

The lowest one is only a double clamp, so I have no idea what its purpose or proper location is.

now it looks like something and ur probably right on the 750b, that lower one is probably a brace for stability, that would go just above the dust covers on the fork tube

it can't go above the dust covers or it would keep the front end from working.

it has to be high enough that the sliders don't hit it.

see how this bike on the right has springs over the legs that rest on top of the sliders and the stabilizer/tweek bar give the springs something to push against?

well I figured , yea my fork brace attaches to the lowers so that wasnt it, my bad, but u know what those came off ??? a springer front end, and somebody's adapted/attached tubes to em, look at the 2 holes in the bottom plate, thats where a rod goes through the springs,, its clamps on just below the upper tree and actually faces the other way, , just lose the bottom plate, if u dont use a front fender I would recommend a fork brace,
