Stupid Question?!

Which side goes out on this rear sprocket? They don't tell you and one side is flat the other has some detail. I'm guessing flat side out.

My guess is flat side out since that's the side with the tooth count stamped in it.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

my manual says to place the tooth count stamp towards the outside.
