I would like to know what type of shocks the back are?
They are shorter than stock KZ's of course.

And your front tubes are definetly shorter, That's why your front is down more than the back, even though your back is lowered with them shorter shocks!

Got any dents in your nicely painted front fender? Hope you don't happen to pull any wheelies or slam on the front brakes1

Very nice motorcycle! I like it! My style!

They are Sportster shocks (12") I think 90’s and very close to bolt up, and with the 16" mag I was thinking it was as low as front. That is why I am asking for a base line measurement from a stock bike.
And Thank I love the bike but I am a little old for wheelies.......most of the dings are from previous owner I am looking to make a mount that move the brake splitter up a few inches. I bought it with 11” struts….again I am too old for.

martin_csr wrote: This may not be much help. With the bike on the center stand. The stock shocks were probably ~13.5" eye-to-eye and there probably ought to be ~8-9" of exposed tube between the triple tree & dust boot.

For comparison & again w the bike on the center stand. 1981 KZ650-CSR (Ltd styling w more rake at the front forks).
From the floor to the center of lower fork pinch bolt is 33.75" & to the center of the shock nut is 27.25".
Amount of exposed fork tube as mentioned above is ~8-7/8".
