KZ 750 parts interchange ?

may be picking up a '82 KZ-750 inline 4-cylinder, it's missing the sidecovers and the tank leaks near the seam at the bottom.

I don't have the VIN handy, but i'm curious what year tank and covers interchange with the '82 model year?

Are the "Specter" & "LTD" all the same? Besides the shaft drive i mean.

HELP!!!

I guess it would be important to know if this is a kz750 "standard", LTD or a spectre? While I don't know about 750s myself, there are plenty here who do, but they will want to know that answer.

If the 750s are like the LTD v standard than if your bike has an 18" wheel in from and back, then it is a standard. If it has an 18" in front. but a 16" in back, it is an LTD. Also, if the front wheel is attached to the front of the front fork, not at the bottom, it is an LTD (or someone went mucking around with everything).

Look on Ebay at the 1982(or so) 750 LTD to see what I mean about the forks.

thanx, that's what i needed!

I'm thinking the rear on this one was a 16" with the front axle on the front of the forks.....will check to make sure though.

Re: parts source for KZ 750 twin???

I have a nice KZ 750 which I bought new. It only has 7500 miles and looks like new. I do need some parts like an air filter and some carb gaskets, but my local dealer says they can't even be ordered.

Is there a good source for of parts for these vintage (1978) Kawasaki bikes?

thanks
