Restoring a 1978 KZ1000 LTD and now I am stuck as to either paint the frame and keep original frame sticker or powder paint and lose sticker, any advice from the pros will be appreciated. Tony in Toronto,Canada.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I didn't powder coat my frame, swing arm, triple clamps etc. as if you ever catch a stone and chip it I'm told it can't be touched up and will eventually start to loosen paint around the area. I had mine done by a shop with some type of urethane which seems to be pretty durable. I made an aluminum cover bent to fit around the VIN sticker which saved it when sandblasting of frame was done and it turned out well. a zip tie was used to secure it through the small void behind the steering neck.
Good luck! David
