Rear hub bolts for kz 1000 a1 was created by iboone
I lost the bolts that hold the rear sprocket on and dont know what size and pitch does anyone know can I get them at the local hardware store and do they thread directly into the rim?

10x1.25 is size and pitch, oal depends on type of wheel used whether spoke or mag as the mag sprocket carrier is thicker and bolts need to be longer.

simply take your carrier complete with sprocket to store and see how much lenght you need to do the job, you don't have to use this thread and pitch either, bolt is held captive and nut secures sprocket so nothing actually threads into the carrier what I think you call the 'rim'.

I thought it looked as if the bolts went in through the sprocket side and were held by the keepers not sure if there are nuts on the other side or if bolts thread into rim?

the bolts come thru the carrier and the nuts are visible on the outside of the sprocket, your manual will have an exploded view showing orientation of all this.
