Air fork link tube KZ1100
07 Aug 2011 14:17
Got a leak in my airlink equaliser pipe(if that is what it is called?) I looked to remove it only to find it doesn't unscrew without removing whole setup. Have put a hose clip temp fix on but am wondering, can I cut it off and make a new link with hydraulic pipe with bolts that turn on each end? Was thinking along the lines of car brake pipe as got a flare kit. And yes I am the king of noshing and making do.

The pressure in the front forks is very low. You don't have to mess with any special tubing. I think that if you cut the tube and exposed the barbs on the fittings, a regular pair of good fuel hose clamps would be more than good enough. a length of fuel line intended for fuel injection would also suffice as the link tube.
