Need a Backrest to fit these Brackets

My 81 KZ 1000 ltd came w/ these brackets on it for a backrest but no backrest was on it. It takes 1/2" square stock and the spread is 12" to the ouside of the female brakets. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

time to get some 1/2 sq stock and fire the flame thrower up and twist one off
paint it black or any color

just make sure if you find its the same size 12 overall

I was hoping I could find one in chrome but I may have to resort to the home fab thing.
