Does it hold air without the tube?
Running a tube will not hurt a thing.

Yes it holds air nicely, i wasn't sure how dangerous it was. I'm kind of frightened as i've had the bike up to 70mph and gone 200 miles on it with this tire, being unaware this whole time it was a tube type XD

Well, you're certainly not going to hurt anything by putting a tube in. I play it safe with tires. ;)

Remember you are always two wheels away from hospital ;)

Tire problem on a car pfff no deal....but on a motorcycle it could be deadly or scratchy !

If you are having any doubts or concerns...put a tube in it!!! Nothing beats peace of mind...especially on a motorcycle. Listen to you gut and do what makes you feel safe, at peace and confident in the bike.

That is the tire i have, 100/90/19. It holds air fine, i was worried about the safety. scarily enough i've ridden 200 miles on it and speed up to 75mph  :pinch:

So you guys think it is safe if i were to put a tube in it?

It would be fine with a tube. I plan on doing the same thing soon...

Please do put a tube in there. You have been lucky that the tire has held air and not slipped off the bead so far. Don't ride another mile before you get a tube in that tire. You loose air suddenly in that front and you're going down.

EDIT: Are you entirely sure that your tire is tube type? Bridgestone makes two versions of the BT-45. The H speed rated version requires a tube, and the V speed is tubeless. The link that you posted is for the H which would need a tube. In either case it would be fine to run a tube, and it would definitely be the safe choice IMO.

Is the sidewall marked TT (tube type) or TL (tubeless). If it is marked TT by all means install a tube. Ed

It says "Tube Type" right on the sidewall, and thanks guys i will buy a new tube ASAP. I was worried I'd have to buy a new tire.

yes you can fit tube type on tubeless wheels as long as you fit a tube the only difference between tube type and tubeless is the tubeless has a airtite membrane to hold the air in.
