Since it's a hardtail you don't need to buy performance tires (since it will handle like a wheelbarrow)

On the contrary! My old Triumph is hardtailed, & it's very nimble, & rides great.
Pics of the bike would help, what kind of look do you want?
Classic Kawi, classic chopper, whitewalls?

I'm sure. I believe that's why all the factory riders hardtail their track bikes. No sense squandering bucks on fancy shmancy suspensions when you can simply weld iron bars between the frame and swingarm and win races. Yep, there's no doubt about it - piggyback shocks, mono shocks, remote reservoirs, etc. etc. are for dummies. Iron bars are the secret to good handling (oops, I let the secret out).

I am running this tire on my 1000. This seller has good prices. I don't know what you really want, low price or? But this Kenda seems pretty decent.

This seller will have this tire in most common front/ rear sizes. you already have some fast bikes, so will this be more of a cruiser?
Good luck.

As KZ250 mentioned, Avon RoadRiders are hot around here. I don't have any experience with them, but I'll be getting a pair to shoe on my forthcoming Lesters soon. I run Bridgestone Spitfires and have absolutely no complaints. I've run about 12k miles on them (multiple tires, at times I ride a little enthusiastically) and no flats or anything bad effects. They are classified as a touring tire, so on a big KZ, they're great!

So, to summarize, if you want a great all around tire, I'm partial to Spitfires. If you want a go-fast tire, many people run RoadRiders.
