Beefier Rear Shocks on 78 kz650
23 Jun 2011 09:22
Hey guys,
I've recently acquired a 1978 kz650. My 6'3" 220lb frame bottoms the current rear shocks out pretty easily on bumps. I'm wondering what other shocks out there could help me with this problme. I haven't had much luck with the search feature on this forum, it seems kind of primitive. My first step is probably to ID the current shocks on the bike. Any help would be appreciated!

Dave Quinn will set up your new Hagon shocks for you to match your weight, bike, riding style, etc. I've had mine for 4 years now and they're still great. Here's the link.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those options mentioned!
I've also read about some monza sport shocks, and they also offer a cafe shock? What is the theory behind those shocks with the extra cylinder thing? Sorry for being ignorant.
