just got my 77 kz900 and about to sell my harley lookin to extend the rear so i can put a 200 tire on the back can any1 help call me 708-262-0428 or email ken79bu@gmail.com this is my harley for sell 89 sporty 883 for 4000

You don't have to extend it to fit a wide tire on it. Monoshock it and slap a 180 back there.

suzuki GS1000/1100e swingarm will work-need to modify rear brake for the 900 ( so Ive been told no experience with the 900). 2 inches longer,2 inches lower for the 1000 J bikes.bj

And on a side note putting a wide tire on it is NOT cheap. Beside the cost of the swingarm you've got to buy a wide enough wheel, offset front sprocket, and I think to go that wide you would have to space the wheel to the right to get the chain to line up and clear the tire and frame, IF it clears the frame. It is cool to look at though as long as you don't get crazy and put a 240 on it.

8" is too long IMO for these old bikes. 4-6 max.
ebay always has swingarms.
You want to play you got to pay.
Here is a chromoly box swing arm, only about 3-4 longer

Plus u will note the long swingarms never have a chain guard,meaning u r slinging chain lube all over everything (if u ride).The shorter arms will have a guard to fit usually.bj
