Compare front and rear mastercylinders

As understood, the two ports on the reservoir floor are the larger supply port and the smaller relief port, which ports supply brake fluid from the reservoir to the piston and relieve line pressure upon release of braking application.

The front master cylinder diagram makes sense.
And the principle of operation for the rear master cylinder is believed to be the same.

However, the rear master cylinder diagram fails to show how the fluid routes from the ports to the bore so as to interact with position of the piston as it moves forward during the braking stroke and backward during the release stroke.

Surely there must be passageways bored from the ports to the bore that aren't shown on the diagram.

Could anyone elaborate on this as to how the brake fluid in the rear master cylinder gets from the ports to the piston bore?

Thanks! :)

I checked my KZ650 FSM and even though the numbering is different the cutaway drawing is identical - no port between the reservoir and bore. Honerable draftsman made boo boo. :pinch:
