Best Tire for Kz 650

Ok I was wondering would be the best choice for tires on my 79 650? I wanted a slightly larger rear tire, is there a one that is available without changing the swing arm

From what I read in the archives. 120 is the largest "approved" width for our rims. Although, some use a 130. One guy said he likes his DUNLOP GT501 130/80-18 and they give him 3/8" clearance from the swingarm on each side.

I am using a Dunlop Elite 3 in size 140/90-16 on the rear. It is belted, so the tire carcass is rock hard and does not squirm. That is on a 16" rim that is 3" wide. It only clears the swingarm by about 5 mm on each side. Although it is a bias ply tire, the tread pattern is similar to a sportbike radial, with solid rubber in the middle and grooves heading outward diagonally. I also have been very pleased with AVON Roadrider, AM26. Great tire.

Of course you will probably get as many different opinions as there are replies about tires. Every one will tell what is the very best or what is the absolute worst.
