My secret method for buying sprockets dirt cheap.

Go to JT sprockets web site and find the part number for the sprocket that fits your bike.
Click on "Buyers Guide" and put the part number minus the tooth number in the search box
Read the list of all the bikes that sprocket will fit
Search eBay for each bikes sprocket, like "ZX12 sprocket"

You can pick up high dollar sprockets cheap that way.

Need a 42 tooth sprocket for a 750 twin? No problem, just search eBay for a 98-99 ZX9 sprocket :)

Bought a nice new AFAM 47 tooth sprocket for my 11 for $25 and free shipping that way.

The STEEL 40T and 42T sprockets we have are made exclusively for us.

JT makes a 47T for the H2 that will fit - these are tough to find in stock. We have special ordered some and had to wait 3-4 months when we do. 47T is a little too large to use with a standard chain guard.

We do have a 13T through 18T front 530 sprockets.

17/42 is very close to 18/45 in ratio

You don't mention what front sprocket you are looking at.

There are places where you can get aluminum sprockets cut, they are much more expensive - roughly $60 - and they don't last as long. I can't recomment sprocket specialists - they are a shadow of what they used to be. They are under new management, but the previous owners (a couple of bad ones in succession) killed the company.

It is a 15tooth 530 but it is 5/8th offset and it is for a street strip bike. Im running a 16 inch 5.5 wide spoked rim.

Use ZXR750 NINJA , ZX9R , ZX10R etc etc - all 530 pitch.

These will all bolt on to z9/1000 rear hubs as they still use the same bolt spacings.

Here is pic of z900 630 sprocket on zx10r wheel to prove they swap ;) .

KZ1000 and KZ900 sprockets are two different sprockets. The Z1/KZ900/H2 are the ONLY bikes using that configuration of 98mm center, 130mm across bolt centers and a 6-bolt pattern.

The KZ1000 sprockets DO cross with many other bikes - but not the drum hub 900's.

What you have is a JTR488 sprocket. 80mm center, 104 across bolt centers and a 6-bolt pattern.

How exactly do you search for 530 stuff there?
I did various searches for KZ650s & KZ750s, and the only sprockets they're showing are for a 630 chain.
Thanks.

By the way thanks for the tip. :)

I fixed the part about how to search in my other post.

And I just went to JT Sprockets and it took about a minute to find a whole bunch of bikes with 530 rear sprockets that will fit on your bike (81 KZ650 CSR), the JTR488 as mentioned by Jeff. Just compare the bolt circle, bolt number, bolt hole diameter, and center hole diameter.
