Fork Swap

I have a set of 38 mm 93-94 Police forks with the center axle that I want to swap onto my 82 KZ1000 with the leading axle.Other than acquiring the correct calipers,are there other issues? For example, are different triple trees recquired to prevent weird handling issues? I want to install them as the bike as set up tends to push in hard cornering and I felt the the center axle might prevent that.Any thoughts? Many thanks.bj
