Fuel Tank Query

Hello all. I recently purchased a 1983 Kz750F1 LTD Shaft drive. very low mileage. I live in wyoming where the towns are few and far between. I am looking for a fuel tank with a larger capacity. Does anyone know which tanks will mount in relatively the same mounts. and provide more capacity

The mpg shouldnt be terrible on that bike?

What kind of modifications are there, if any, and has the jetting been fudged with?

If you still have the stock intake, switch your pilots to the stock pilots, and set your air/mix screws to about 2 turns out max.

This will improve your mileage considerably.

so far it is all stock except for the K&N air filter. it currently gets about 42 miles to the gallon. I would just like a little more range than 150 miles. unless i am wrong about the tank capacity. it is apprx 3.5 gallons.

I have an '82 kz750 Ltd and mines 3.5 gallons too. Good luck up there....lots and lots of open space. Strap-on gas can maybe?

I'd drive my daughter between Laramie and Lander for her student teaching. Not many gas stations between Rawlins and Lander, so I feel your pain.
