tarozzi rear sets question.

Hi guys,

I installed some Tarozzi rear sets on my project, I bought the ones specific to my bike not the universal ones.

The problem I am having is that when I tighten the peg bolt the lever gets so stiff that I can't actuate the brake or shift and if I loosen it then the peg spins and because they are foldable I end up having them fold down when I am sitting on the bike (pretty dangerous). Has anyone installed these? There must be something I did wrong installing them but I can;t figure it out.

I have two sets of these and haven't had that problem even when I cranked down on the nut holding the peg on.

I can't really tell by the pic but it looks like you have the left/right brackets reversed. The part number stamped on the bracket should have a "L" or "R" after it to designate the sides.

Also make sure the dowels that set the pedal height are in the holes and not being smashed in between the halves.

What Andy said. The bushing that the pedals and adjusters ride on have a collar with a notch in it that the peg andy is talking about seats in. The pedals will not bind when installed correctly.

I am looking to get a set of these for my Kz900 A4. I see that fastfromthepast has them in black with rubber so as to reduce the damage to our shoes.

My question is.................How does the geometry feel on these with the stock forks and superbike bars. Sitting in stock geometry gives me a feeling of vulnerability with the upright sensation delivered at the pegs. I wonder if this will help to alleviate that?

Calvin I have drag bars on my bike and the tarozzis give me a little more aggressive seating position. I find them to be really comfortable and as has been said elsewhere feedback from the rear wheel is much improved.

i had to mess with mine some it is kinda the same as going too tight on the throttle switch housing on some bikes makes the thing not turn....once it is set right it works for me though....i had to order a new part where the linkage threads into the mini shift aluminum spline and 10 mm type nut for the shift shaft....it broke where the aircraft coupler threads male...fast from the past...i think is the link someone here gave me and i bought two of the little boogers for 20 something and ......HERE...i noticed that that same area that if set up wrong cant spin and lever the aluminum female on the foot bolt....grease...i guess in all the cleaning of the bike i had let that steel to aluminum journal seize some and it was sure sweet shifting when i had bearing grease on the inner faces and shaft after re-doing and going for a ride...i guess a shot of dry slide after a ride or lube

I put anti sieze on mine, just a little bit though to keep the aluminum from galling up. Shifts and brakes like butter.
