I have used both brands on various bikes. I don't think there is much difference. Either one will be much better than a 30 year old cable. Make sure you get the correct length. I have ordered custom lengths from Dennis Kirk , which is nice if you have changed handlebars, etc.
I have always thought the motion pro and parts unlimited were the same, are they?
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.
