Bitch'n Mirror Hunt

Guys

Im on the hunt to finish off my bike with a nice set of mirrors. I am thinking black, but open to chrome. I am looking for something of good quality that also performs (resists vibration) well.
$$$ is not really an issue, but I have no idea where to start. I am aware that Dennis Kirk has a variety, but that doesnt say much for the durability of the individual brands.....
Thanks.

boy i would also like some reviews on mirrors as i have been eyeing a bunch of round black reproduction ones.......

i have been happy with the look of the cheapo chrome round ones i bought (forgot where online...reallly cheap like 19.99 and ship)but they seemed to go away kinda quick and are a joke to try and tell if that car back there is a cop......no...i didnt say spin around and look..now he is watching me...

Short stem ones seem to produce better imaging and less vibration. I have a set of the long stem ones as well and they vibrate like He--. jmo.bj

Trouble with most aftermarket mirrors is they don't use convex glass so they are basically worthless for the intended purpose. China has not yet progressed to convex glass used on mirrors since 1922 on motorcycles.;) and yes, you buy aftermarket it will be made in China on motorcycle mirrors.

I really like the CRG Hindsight LS mirrors. No vibration, the glass is convex, tinted and replaceable. They have a folding feature to reduce breakage, and are made in California. Not a cheap mirror, but very, very nice.

+1 for CRG... Cleans up the bike and places them in a location that you can see behind you and not your shoulders or elbows.

There are copies out there too for cheaper, but as always buy cheep get cheep.

I just cannot convince myself on those bar end mirrors. I am sure performance is well, but I just cant buy into the look.

I purchased the short stem black round jobbies from Z1E. Any opinions on these?

note: mirrors are made in Taiwan.

NOS Kaw mirrors come up for sale on ebbaayy from time to time.

Also, I've never looked, but maybe you could get something from a Honda or Suzuki. Not sure if any Yamaha mirrors would work - some of them have left-hand threads on one side.

Edit: Here's a round/chrome set from the same seller as the one Otakar linked in his topic,
also made in Taiwan... CONVEX GLASS.

I always put bar end mirrors on. If you go that route get the kind with the rubber mounts, the metal ones will loosen up and the mirror will fall out.
