76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

i have heard that some do some dont. may depend on date of manufacture. i kept my pan and traded foam with another member from an ltd to a z1.

No. Because the Z1 seat pan and locking mechanism was changed on the 1976 KZ900 models.
The locking mechanism is completely different. The plunger on the Z1 seat pan won't fit onto the KZ900 seat pan.
Am thinking the positions of the hinges is also different, to match changed tab positions on the frame.

the pan will fit but latch is differant,i road mine for years without a latch.

X2 it is a bit of work and the parts wont bolt in tight form just the pan side imo...old Z1 seats can be found or a cover easy enough....are you sure yours is a 73-75 Z1
