Hi guys
I have recently got my old 77 z650 out of the gargage and back on the road after resting for 14 years.
I noticed on the shakedown cruise it was reving at 4000rpm @100kph is that OK?
Years ago I put an extra tooth on the front sprocket to give it more legs and reduce the top end high revs I now wonder if that can be increased a further tooth. Don't know whether it's because I haven't ridden it for so long but it seems to be spinning pretty fast at 100kph
Cheers

Stock gearing on the '77 KZ650 ran 4500rpm=60mph; 6000rpm=80mph; 9000rpm=120mph. These are approx. but very close. Ed
