I can't seem to find any really complete information on how to select springs. I'm shopping for progressive, and don't completely understand the numbers. Are the two numbers the spring rates for inches one and two of compression?
I think 95/140s are the proper choice, just wondering what 95 and 140 mean?
thanks,
purls

I thought the numbers were the force to compress one inch then amount to compress the second inch.

the softer part of the spring (95) means it takes 95 lbs to compress an inch of that spring section. Once that is in coil bind the heavier section of spring (140) means it will then take 140lbs to compress an inch of that section
