What's a set of Lester wheels run?

A) If you can find them and
b) You can convince the guy to sell them?

I'm looking for a set of mag wheels for my '76 and I'd like to keep the rear drum and not have to use a 16" tire.

If it has tits or tires, it'll give you problems!

I'd also like to run dual discs in the front, if that matters.

Lester mags...

vary greatly

the rear 18 drum is the hardest of em all imo...200-250+

the front 19....150-200 plus shipping...and the fronts will accept a dual disk just as your forks will....

sometimes they turn up on e-bay----all the way to ,often they can be found there.....they bid all different and even appear as sets with a buy it now sometimes...

rough guess would be 300 plus shipping bare rims with all bearings there....

i have a set...they came on a bike and got stored..couple times a yr they turn up on beaten bikes where the owner is trying get 1000 or so...

As tri said around $150 -250. Here are some eBay samples, but no KZ wheels today:

the goood news is...they are really light....improve handling and take off...they can polish up nice....

and if you tried to put together a set of stock kz mags for your bike...you would still spend money adding the pile up and for heavier shipping....

the extra $ that "may" it end up costing for lesters would never be missed ,ever, and the rims would bring your build up way more than you invested in the rims imo..

here is another pic with some nice finishes on the bike and polished lesters really showing off...

Well that's not too bad. I was expecting to hear $2,000+ for a nice set.

You can run tubeless tires with Lester's, no?

I lack the capital (time and money), experience and a project bike to start a full-on build at this point in my life [as a 23 year old], so I'm trying to stick to moderate "sub-projects" that won't tie up the bike for much longer than a few days at a time. Bike > van. A pair of Lesters (as long as they aren't corroded beyond repair) would be a nice project for me to fix up, as it wouldn't require my bike to sit for days while I work on them. AND they'd dress up the bike and give me a little but more "performance." ;)

I'd love a set of Lesters, but I'm also toying with the idea of a set of aluminum spoked wheels, I quickly Googled the subject and came across this site: www.buchananspokes.net/ . Long story short; however, is that most spoked wheels require an innertube, right?

I've heard of Morris mags before as well. Were Lester or Morris mags the dealer option for Zs in the 70s?

The Lester's are on the left, correct?

What's the bike on the right wearing? Are those Morris mags or Enkei's?
