need a line on a Kz650 or Kz750 seat was created by newOld_kz1000
I have no stock seat for my 1981 Kz650 model 'H1'.
This is the CSR model. Here is a picture of my bike. I want to ride it but the seat on here now is not attached to the frame and is uncomfortable and not roadworthy:

I have checked:

- Z1 Enterprises
- ebay
- general search on the web

and found no stock seat.

So here are the bikes that use the same seat:

1) Kz650 CSR bikes, 1981, '82 and '83

2) Kz750 LTD bikes, 1981, '82 and '83

Would prefer a whole seat, but if anyone knows where I can lay my hands on even a SEAT PAN I would be much obliged, if I have to I can order the cushion and cover.

Thanks all!

p.s. I found a 1979 'SR' model kz650 seat but the seat pan's hinge brackets don't line up with my frame's hinges -- if anyone knows a workaround for that maybe I can put an 'SR' seat on the beast. THANKS!

Just in case ---

Where kawasaki.com is used to see which models share the same part, the reference may be limited to an identical part, meaning exact same color, or seat cover imprint pattern, or etc....

 Am wondering if additional models might also use a seat with the same shape and pan, but maybe just a different cover pattern.

Good Fortune! :)

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationCareful with this one --- advertized as 1980, but seller says it came off a 1981.

Get a seat from a 1981-83 KZ650-CSR or 81-83 KZ750-Ltd-4 chain drive (& probably the 80 model). Some of the Ltd-4s have a weird 2-piece seat, but I believe those will bolt on fine.
I don't think an 82 KZ750-CSR seat will fit - not 100% sure, though. But since it's a Twin, it might not.

Also, you could check into the 750-Spectre or the 750-Ltd-Shaft seats (~82-83), but I really don't know if one of those will work. Also within the realm of possibility is the 80-82 KZ750E Standard-4. That bike shares some parts w the first two models mentioned above.

Ask the seller what bike that $20 seat is from. If it's the right pan, this cover would fit it - KAWASAKI KZ750LTD & CSR AFTERMARKET SEAT COVER, NOS

The $79 seat seems a tad high to me.

Right on Martin, I have an 'All Kawasaki models cross-reference' by Zedder Software and it says the CSR 650 h1/h2/h3 of 1981/82/83, and the LTD 750 of 1981/82/83 are identical seats.

To Patton's point, if I could figure out the seat pan issue. Thanks Patton for the ebay listings, I may go with the $20 special although I'm concerned about rust on its pan, and I sent a clarify-the-year question to the other listing.

I would concur that the KZ750CSR (twin) seat isn't going to fit the 1981 KZ650-H1 CSR. :(

What's that line from 'The Big Lebowski' --

"Sometimes you get the barr, and sometimes - sometimes the barr gets you."

I have nixed the $20 special, the 750 csr seat is a no-match.

Still waiting for a response from the other 650 seat.
I'd like to blame this on Meg Whitman somehow.

The $20 seat is from a KZ750-CSR Twin (from looking at the other 82 750 parts the guy has listed). I really doubt it would be a direct bolt-on to your 650-CSR.

The 750-CSR doesn't have much of anything in common with the 650.
Even the Twin's wheels are different.

Edit: Since the pickings seem to be kinda slim on ebbaayy... Sometimes a seller will be parting out a bike and not have everything listed... So submit a parts request. Also, not that this will do you any good, but a NOS 650-CSR seat sold on ebbaayy a couple of months ago.

Patton and Martin, you really did it for me, because I emailed that $20 seat ebay seller. Asking for other parts.

Now that was a longshot and without Martin's suggestion and Patton's ebay seat listing I wouldn't have emailed them.

So she emails me back "Sorry we don't have any."

Then like a bolt of lightening she emails back to say "we found another seat, here are photos"

by gum it was in fact a match. Come with pad, slightly torn cover, $25 + $15 s/h.

THANKS DUDES MY SEAT IS ON THE WAY. Pretty soon I will be riding my CSR with a seat and not a piece of plastic sliding around on the frame rails.
