Building a KZ1000 street/stip bike and need suggestions on sprocket sizes. Going with 530 chain, but not sure what gear ratio would be good. Any suggestions???

The ratio you need depends on a host of variables.
Stock trans gears?
Power band of your particular engine?
Type of frame used?
Rear tire size and type?
Rider weight?
1/4 or 1/8 mile?
et cetera

I'm running a 17-42 setup and that puts me at 5k RPM @70 MPH. I'm actually thinking about going down in the back since I ride the freeway pretty regularly

unfortunately I dont know anything about the motor...the guy I bought the bike from didn't know much other than he thought the guy who originally built it made the motor a 1075 but i dont know at this point.
Going to run 190 shinko rear tire 17in rim
I weight about 180 and would run the bike in the 1/4 mile...mostly for fun on test/tune night and still ride it on the street.
a friend of mine just gave me a 16 tooth front so I may go with a 39 rear thats roughly about the same as 17-41
thanks for all the info
