Rear Brake, Round or Square?
06 Feb 2011 09:35
I'm looking to replace my rear pads, I look at the inside of the caliper and it seems to be round in shape. Is there any easy way to determine the shape before I order the new ones?

Including information about bike year and model may elicit better responses. And it's easy to put in your signature where it will automatically appear in posted messages.
When done, the signature information appears in all posts, past and future. And may be changed as often as desired.
Here's how to do it:
Click here > kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...d=8&id=382004#382317
May go to Z1 Enterprises website, navigate to subject year/model, find correct brake pads under maintenance items.
Click > www.z1enterprises.com/

Am unaware of how to determine the shape without removing the wheel to better see the pads.
Hope someone else will be along with better advice.

I second the round vote.
Look just like the early 650 rear calipers.

the square pads are the top load ones that come out without removing the caliper, just remove cover and pins.
this is the other style of caliper with square pads.
