Opinions needed on forks was created by murto
Hi, I've got a Z750 L1 (1981) and I need to replace the forks, I've recently bought a pair which were advertised to fit a KZ650, KZ650SR and KZ650D.
As I understand they might be slightly shorter (although not %100 sure about that), which I guess wouldn't be much of a problem, what do you think, are they going to fit ok ?I appreciate your opinions, cheers, Steve.

Not sure about the length, but another issue might be the placement of the brake calipers. Since you've already bought them, I guess the thing to do would be to slap 'em on there to see how they fit.

You can look up the parts here, and maybe the lower legs are the same even if the tubes are shorter.

Brake calipers will bolt on, I have 83 GPz750 calipers on my 79 750 twin.
Forks will work also, both are 36mm diameter, but the 650 forks might be an inch shorter (don't think so, but don't remember for sure)
I also don't remember if the 650 and 750 four use the same front axle diameter, but you can look at the wheel bearings list in the filebase to see if they both use the same wheel bearings.
Can't look it up on that link because the US didn't get the L model until 1983 (KZ750L3) (dummy me just tried).
