Aftermarket Footpegs
29 Jan 2011 18:08
I have some pretty beat up pegs on my Kz and am looking for a direct fit aftermarket application. Preferably a chrome or stainless look?

there are several places that make/sell them. AmericanClassix.com has rearsets that are pretty fawking badass. Pingel, DandG chassis, and I think PMFR all make drag style pegs that are knurled aluminum that also look pretty cool.

Ditto on the TEROZZI rearsets. I have them and love them. They install perfectly and are quality hardware. Keep in mind that they are rearsets and it will change your riding position, but I like the look and position for the 900.

they will ruin any shoes you ride in...the pegs are knurled aluminum and tear the soles up when you ride on the balls of you feet and the shift lever is aluminum too ,where it rubs the shoes top...ruins em...turns the shoes black...sure you can wrap it but then it makes the purty rearsets look billy bob imo...
they are hard to up shift sometimes when leaned over.....they look great and install nice

www.fastfromthepast.com
sells the Tarozzi Rearsets as well. I have a set I use that are a direct bolt-on the the stock brackets, and are the folding type. I am fabricating another set for the race bike that are the fixed universal type. The knurled pegs offer better grip, than the rubber pegs, but the rubber pegs can make for a slippery foot when wet, so I only have the shift arms in rubber, to save a little of the outside boot.
The folding pegs do stick out further than the fixed ones, so that is also something to think about.
Jim Hinshaw @ Fast From the Past is excellent when it comes to customer service, replying to e-mails, and will return your calls.

Can you take pics of your rearsets that bolt on the stock brackets? Also, any pics of the parts you're fabbing would be much appreciated.
