'81 LTD Engine vs '73 Z1

Will a '81 KZ1000K1 LTD engine fit into a Z1 frame?

What other differences are there between the two?
Any known problems with these engines?

I've got a spare '73 frame and yes someone hacked it years ago so to throw the wrong engine into it isn't going to make much difference in the value.

The head stock has been kicked out and it's set up for lay down shocks. It does need more bracing around the head stock and backbone.

So what engines will fit the '73 frame?

73-80 should fit as long as it's chain drive.
