I'll be honest with you and say that I have never heard of this issue with a pipe set that is designed for the bike.

If not, then you may require some fabrication work, or try installing the break pedal at a higher angle (if possible).

REMEMBER, when the brake is filled with fluid properly, it is nice and tight, and doesnt have the travel of just the pedal sitting on the bike/master cylinder empty...

Or use a pressure bleeder type brake bleeder to pump the master cylinder up hard (not causing pads to rub) and should help shorten required brake pedal pressure/drop required for braking.

Best of luck.

Before I put the pipe on the brake works when I put on the sidewinder the pedal has no room to move down it hits on the header without pushing it down

vance and hines says that to mount their sidewinder exhaust requires the frame to be raked and the brake pedal to be modified. I hope you don't plan on making right turns at speed.

I believe I have th same type exhaust on my 78KZ1000, the brake and the right foot peg have been modified on my bike to fit. my frame is not raked and I have never had ground clearence problems either but my bike has not been lowered. you may have to say bye,bye to your center stand though!

No just drag racing and riding on the street but definitely won't be going into corners fast the bike is lowered but I have quiet a bit of clearance. What is the tire sizes that will fit ? Is there a lower profile front tire? Im not able to look at the tire but do you know the factory front tire size on a19 inch spoke rim

The center stand was first to go. How did you modify the brake and right foot peg?

I have seen the brake arm go under the exhaust and come back up on the outside also but that seems like the long way to me. but it works.

Have a V and H on my KZ.Went to aluminum footpegs as the heat melted the rubber on the stockers. Took a torch and straightened the brake arm so it ran on top of the footpeg, not underneath.Frame raked? Bullshoi. Ive run the Dragon on my bike and the only thing I scraped was a peg not the pipe. The world abounds with urban legends.bj
