Center Stand for 1980 LTD1000

Hi from Florida

I have a 1980 LTD1000 that I was told didn't come stock with a center stand. I have two questions, first, is there a reason for that and second, will another center stand from a KZ 1000 frame fit on it?

The reason that the LTD did not originally come with a center stand is that stock Jardine pipes wouldn't allow clearance. If you have the stock pipes, then don't buy a center stand.

It has a new Kerker 4 into 1 that is supposed to allow for center stand retention.
