I have been working on this bike off and on since August . This is my first Motorcycle . It is a 1982 KZ 750 ltd H3 .
I looked at the rear and left front brake pads today and they are just a little over 1/8 of an inch thick . This is the my first bike are the brake pads ok ? I will be putting now right pads on do to they are missing .

If the pad material is only 1/8" thick,they're N.F.G..As in SHOT.I use EBC "HH" pads on my bikes.I have EBC and Stock rotors on them and those pads work GREAT!!!You just gotta be sure to seat them in good before you really get on them.They don't fade,work good when they are wet too.Other tips:1)If you have twin disk front,replace BOTH sets of pads at the same time.2)If the brake fluid looks brown or "Gummy",FLUSH the entire system thru.3)Inspect the calipers.If the dust boots are bad,rebuild the whole thing.Better yet,just rebuild them.Pop out the pistons and inspect them.If you need to replace the pistons,do it.4)If you are missing any hardware,replace it before you put it back together.5)Lube up the rear brake pivot.It will drag if you don't.6)Check the master cylinder rubbers.Replace them if they are "mushy". In other words...:Your brakes are the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS on your bike!!!They will save your life.Don't cheap out.
