Chain is looser than what specs say it should be. Wondering how far out it can safely be adjusted. it looks like it is back quite a bit but there are still several adjustment lines showing. Any notions. i intent to get get new sprockets and chain but due to christmas its gonna have to wait a month or two.

If your sprockets don't have any bent or "Hooked" teeth and the chain does not have any excess "Tight spots" you're probably good for a while.

Put the bike on a centerstand(if posssible) and spin the rear wheel by hand, looking for tight spots. Try to adjust the chain so it's got good tension, not too tight or loose.
