rear tire width

i have a 82 gpz750r1 that has stock wheels. it has a 140 on the back now. what is the widest tire i could put on that rim?

1982 GPZ750R1 ELR
1978 Honda CB750F SuperSport
1971 Honda CB750K
1970 Honda CL100 Scrambler

The 140 is too wide for an 18X2.15 rim as it is. Stock is a 120, and a 130 would be the max I'd run.

the tire was on the bike when i got it. ive been thinking about getting ninja 600 rims but im not sure how wide if a tire my calfab swingarm can take.

I'm sure one of the guy's running a Calfab arm will chime in, sorry I'm no help there. Your on the right track with a wheel swap if you want to run wider tires.
