dirtbike front end? was created by kz1k
i am modifying my suspension and tired. i just grabbed a zx7r rear, and was going to match the front. i have a set of forks here that came with my bike from the PO. i dont know what his plans were, but anyway, they are off a suzuki rm250 i think. the only writing on them that i see is showa rm125. i googled the forks and found them factory on a rm250 dirtbike. can someone let me know if i should try and use them, or just put them in the corner of the garage? thanks, Joe

Anything short of hill-climbing would be futile.

joe save them for a dirtbike don't be tempted to use them on your bike its a lot heavier to begin with so your spring rates would have to be changed, also wheel spacing could be a problem axle sizes will be different, only one front caliper mount and not very substantial at that and what would you use for trees also how do you mount a fender. it will be way easier to just buy a complete front end from an older sport bike, trees forks wheel brakes spacers and axle that will way cheaper in the long run and very little dicking around to make it fit

What they said Joe. Dirt forks and street forks are completely different animals. Even the guys that run super motards and are serious about it make considerable modifications to their suspension to make it work optimally on asphalt.
