Center stand ?
13 Dec 2010 17:14
Any one know what year range center stand will fit a 1980 ltd 1000. Mine was taken off to fit the header, I now have a header that I can put one back on.

kawasaki.com shows LTD styled KZ1000-E1 (Shaft) (1979) and KZ1000-E2 (Shaft) (1980) having oem centerstand.
The 17 non-LTD stlyle models below are shown as using the same oem centerstand.
Am guessing these would temporarily fit chain drive 1980 KZ1000 LTD style for maintenance purposes only.

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc.
If needed, here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

Hey, TFD, I have a unwanted centerstand left over from my 1978 KZ1000 A2. It has an ugly steel standoff welded to it, and it's rusty. You could cut the extra steel off and sandblast it. Yours for the asking, if you think it will work. I'm in Spring, and it's not worth the trouble of shipping. Let me know if you're interested.

Sounds like a deal. Depending on the weather this weekend I could head north. If its nice I'm either going to double lakes with the grandkids camping or working on the bike
If its wet and raining then I could go visit my FIL that lives in spring and we could meet up somewhere
